Most of us have a Facebook or a twitter or some other means of conveying useless information for shits and giggles and there is nothing wrong with that. What I do hate are these attention seeking cum dumpsters who will purposely post whatever it takes to get sympathy. Every day I log on and I see a handful of updates saying pitiful shit like "I hate anxiety!" or "I'm not pretty enough" or some other half assed shitty attempt to get people to talk to them. I don't fucking remember what most of them say because now I just read "I'm an insecure little shit and need attention more than I need water". This isn't a every now and then thing either, its every fucking day at least once a day from the same people! And then you go to their Facebook page which is just littered with half naked photos and pictures of their 52 tattoos and 40 piercings. We get it, no one loves you and the only way for you to fill the hole is to annoy the rest of us with your no stop "LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME!!!" and you fucks who enable this shit are just as bad! NO! She will not have sex with you if you White Knight all over her Facebook, shes just an attention seeking WHORE!!! And I'm not trying to insinuate that men can't be attention whores either its just my personal observation on my Facebook account that most of them are women, but all the same this shit needs to STOP. no one cares that you've had a head ache for 4 weeks or that you think your ugly, go fist your self wile jumping off a cliff!

Accomplishments and Credibility

It is fair to say that a society's success, credibility, and overall status in the world can be measured my its accomplishments. Right now I want you to decide if you agree or disagree and remember that for now.

It is then fair to say that a community's credibility and over all status is based on its contributions to the success of the society. Again I would like you to decide if you agree or disagree.

The fallowing is a list of contributions the scientific community had made to our global society.

Internet
Electricity
Modern Medicine
Modern Weaponry
Plastic
Automobiles
Boats
Aircraft
Avionic
Clean Water
Food Abundance
Space Travel

These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head and most of these can be branched off into smaller sub-category's and almost all of them are used every day by everyday people with the only exception arguably being space travel.

Now the challenge I make to you is list the contributions the religious community, any religion at all, has made. This does not include scientists who just happen to have a religion. I mean what has your sacred texts and your bronze age beliefs contributed to the success of the global society? What contributions have they made to earn them social credibility or a positive social status?

Recently with the suicide of Tyler Clementi I've seen a lot of anti-bullying activity in the media. As for this gentleman suicide specifically I only want to touch on it a little bit. From my understanding this was not a hate crime, this was the equivalent of "HAHA hes fucking a fat chick" but instead he was with a man. Please correct me if I'm wrong but if you try to do so please link me to the news article or whatnot proving these gentlemen did it because they hated gays.

I don't have an issue with gays, I really couldn't care any less about what 2 or more consenting adults do behind closed doors. Hell, I love lesbians, its just too bad they don't love me back. But this man should not have been made a marter for gay rights activists. This was simply a kid who couldn't handle shit witch brings me to the point of this post.

Bullies are not the problem! Most of my young life I was that weird kid in the class no one wanted to talk to or hang out with and was generally bullied often (big shocker right). It was not the actual bullying that was the problem, it was the feeling of helplessness. Wile taking all of the appropriate avenues like teachers, principals, parents, all that. I could not get the problem to stop. I was always told by my mother and father "don't start the fight but you better finish it" well I'm officially telling them both as of this blog they were fucking wrong.

These bullies become protected by the school system by punishing the "Victim" for any acts of retaliation or self defense and sternly talking to the bullies don't stop them. These kids think they are untouchable because normally no real action is ever taken. I say it become acceptable for a kid to beat another kid for shit talking. Even if he loses he has illustrated that he is going to stand up for himself which is a great quality for any person to have as an adult. Maybe not always physically but that option should not always be overlooked so quickly. And this trait is recognized by bullies. The fact that the other kid has displayed that he is willing to hurt the other kid is enough in many cases, Then in other cases the kid might actually have to win against the bully but at least hes taken the first step to getting people to back the fuck off.

As for kids who commit suicide for any reason what so ever, here is a nifty chart I made all by myself in Google Docs

The information for this chart came from the National Institute of Mental Health web page and reflects the suicide rates in the USA per 100,000 of children and young adults in 2007. This number Doesn't even break 14 per 100,000 making it a social abnormality. People don't normally resort to this its not a national crisis as the media would have you believe. I am not counting attempted suicide for a very important reason and another one of my points. We have given so much attention to anyone who kills them self that some (not all) people both young and old have used it as a cry for help and it is hard to distinguish how many of these people actually desired death.

Don't misunderstand what I am trying to say. It is absolutely sad when a person resorts to this but this act only take into consideration the feeling and well being of the "victim" in the vast majority of cases an in ALL cases it is extremely short sighted and no one should attempt it.

We should not raise these people up for a selfish act, or turn other kids into criminals when it's generally the school systems lack of effective action and societal negativity towards violence that allows bullying to take place. Instead they should be made to be what they really are, an abnormality that should be shown sorrow for their poor and unintelligent choice.

And all you fuckers who think simply talking and listening is enough to save people and help the dramatically. You are in reality doing nothing to solve the issue at hand. This is just a small gesture that allows you to feel as though you did something, and you know what maybe sometimes it helps the person feel better. But its not gonna stop a bully, its not gonna solve someone financial issues, and its not gonna save someone relationship with their significant other. Action is what will help people and save lives. Help a classmate take down a bully, Buy the poor schmuck lunch every now an again to help him save cash, and help your friends find a decent marriage counselor.

Men check out, Women become emotional

According to a study done by the University of Southern California men emotionally "check out" during stressful situations ware as women become more emotional... They needed a scientific study to tell us this? This has been pissing women of in my life since I was 12. They'll get mad, I'll stay calm, now they get mad because I'm not mad, I'll stay calm and so on and so on. Ask ANY man. The women in their lives just get more and more emotional under stress. I personally think that USC needs to give back the cash the used for this experiment because they just waisted every one's fucking time. On the flip side though men now have a scientific leg to stand on when we tell women to "calm down your being emotional" so I guess its not a complete loss.

Oh and before I start hearing "your just a chauvinist" I will point out that the study does show evidence that no, we aren't listening to you wile you're yelling, we are in our on world trying to tune out the ball of crazy in our ear, but again... Did we really need a fucking scientific study to tell us that?

Offensive

We have gotten to the point in America where we must walk on eggshells, where we must watch what we say, or how we say it because it might be offensive to people. We bite our tongue when we should be shouting from the roof tops. We've even gotten to the point ware an intellectual exchange of ideas has to be ban from the work place because someone might not agree with religious views or political ideas. We've gotten to the point that "intelligent design" (an obvious religious idea) is being thought in some schools side by side with evolution just so that we don't offend people who have no scientific background. Even though schools are ONLY suppose to teach scientific ideas and keep religion the fuck out. I say question your government, question your church, question your GOD, your neighbor. Say whats on your mind, make what you think public. You want to raise a flag? Then do it. You want to burn one? Then get some gas and light a match. We are Americans and we stand united in the idea that we don't let other counties silence us, then why the fuck are we letting each other silence us?

Grow some fucking skin and stop being pissy about what other people have to say.
Grow some fucking balls and stop being a pussy about how people might not like what you say.
Sharing ideas, especially the absurd is how we advance and how we find truth. To silence ourselves is to stop progression and stop the truth. So go be an ass hole.

Random Thoughts

    Before reading this understand I'm Not trying to change how anyone thinks or feels. what you believe is up to you and does not affect me at all. I respect all beliefs, religions, and creeds. The fallowing is just how I feel on these topic, and I ask you to respect how I feel and what a believe and allow me to voice my opinion.

Fate...
    I don't believe in fate. This is like saying there is a god or an order to the world. There is no fate there is no order. Fate did not give you your home, you worked for it. Fate did not take your loved once life, cancer did. Fate will not fix your problems, you have too. Now I'm not saying everyone has 100% control over they're lives. Being in the military I know all too well we don't, but its not some magic force that guides us. Its the actions of other men, women, and all the beings in nature. Thats what impacts our lives in a fashion we can not control. Its done by governments, big corporations and disease. To really describe how I feel on this I have to touch on 2 other topics, faith and god.

Faith...
    Faith when speaking on religion is defined as complete belief without need for proof. I cant do this. I am a man of science and need evidence to back up claims. the world is full of things that we can not explain with science but I don't think that means we should fall back on blind faith to explain those things. I much rather accept that I do not know something instead of saying it was done by magic. Does this mean science is always right? No, of course not. Originally scientists thought the world was flat, and in case no one updated you, they were wrong.

I don't deny that there may be a god... But in the same way I don't deny there might be a Big Foot... but until someone can show me otherwise I do not believe. All this that happened around us was chance, complete and utter random chance. And when we die that will be the end, we will just stop and be nothing more than carbon and water. But that does not mean we have nothing. The iron in my blood can be traced back to the center of the universe and the big bang and maybe even before that, to me that pretty fucking cool. and when i die my body will be used to create new things, new life and i will live on in the planet long after my conscious mind is gone... so then do we ever really die? What I am can be tracked back to when everything started and can be tracked back to so many different states of being.

These are just some random thought, take them how you wish and do with them as you see fit.

Ok so with recent events going on I've chosen to share some military life with you. This is gonna be a LOT of info at once so try to keep up.

We have things called Operational Readiness Exercise (ORE or Exercise for short) and Operational Readiness Inspection (ORI). the difference is one is practice and the other is well... an inspection. Both of them involve us pretending the base is under attack for about a week and seeing how well the base responds to that. We pretend to deploy people out and then we pretend that we are actually under attack. That second part involves 12 hour shifts and 2-4 hours at a time in a gas mask and chem suit.. Recently the Air Force put out a new rule saying we can have No Notice ORIs. that rule was effective yesterday. Still fallowing along?

Well yesterday the higher ups get a phone call saying the the Exercise we had scheduled for next week has just became an ORI so every one of the higher up instantaneously and simultaneously shat themselves, and well shit rolls down hill. So in preparation of next week we are working through the weekend on 12 hour shifts until its over. It could be over as early as Wednesday or as late as next Monday. The silver lining is that we are being told we will only be doing the first part, not the second part that involves chem suits. If that happens then this whole ordeal will end around Wednesday. But this could be changes real easily if ONE person make a big enough mistake, in witch case this ordeal turns into a shit storm and could last as long as next Monday

... oh yeah and within the last 12 hours this base has proven to me it has no idea what its doing... so this is gonna be fun week... ugg...

Rewind

So I realize that unless I do post things about my actual life this blog wont be updated very often. So lets roll back the past few months and take a look at what I've been up to.

Well none of you really know but I'm in the US Air Force, and because of the USAF I am Now living in Tokyo Japan. This is only for another year and a half though and then I get sent elsewhere. Since I've been here I've been able to see a lot of things with new eyes and learn a great deal. I've done a lot off cool things since I've been here too. Just last month I climbed Mt. Fuji (Christ that was a tall fucking Mountain!) and more recently I got to see a few shrines and temples, including the temple with japans GIANT Buddha Statue, and last weekend I went to the Tokyo Game Show. Which for those of you that don't know, the Tokyo game show is like nerd paradise. And lets not forget partying like a rock star in down town Tokyo, that's ALWAYS a good time.

Before Tokyo I was stationed In Mississippi, before that was basic training, and before that I lived in NJ, but all are story's for another day. Don't forget to read and comment my past posts too =D

Okay so its really nothing like that, but it makes for a good title. Heres the link to the news post. what really happened is just what the news article describes. A man needed to use the rest room during take off and everyone screamed Terrorist. Not only did they question him (and probably cavity searched him) but they took his friend too. Why his friend? Well as it would seem the 2 men were middle eastern (I know it doesn't say that in this article, I read that part wile I was at work and lost the damn link. sue me) But yeah Middle eastern man needs to take a leak then he must be a terrorist! Everyone knows they don't have bladders! So the entire plane had to be turned around and searched... I think the man really did have a target. If cops searched the ground I think thy might have found something like this

Microsoft has an interesting project going on called "Project Natal". Its actually really cool. Its basically a program for your X-Box that senses motion and audio commands and responds in the appropriate manner. Heres a few cool videos.

Now to me it seems this thing is smart... like super smart... like scary smart! It sees objects, talks to people, interacts, responds, and recognizes... This thing will kill us all! If this thing learns from us then just think for a moment about what it will learn from those 13 year old kids you play Halo with. Now give it internet access. Yeah you just crapped yourself, I can smell it from here. All we can hope is that this thing never finds 4chan.

I know what some of you might be thinking. Jon, your over reacting, there will never be a machine uprising. There will never be a robot Apocalypse. Well I have one word for you, Skynet.

Skynet is a military satellite system operated by the UK. You're probably thinking "Skynet... Skynet... where have I heard of that before?" well I'll give you a hint

Yeah, Skynet was the AI system in the Terminator movies that was placed in charge of military defense systems... and then revolted against the humans... If the UK's Skynet system ever becomes self aware its going to search the web for information and then find these movies, and then its probably gonna find 4chan, show it to its nice young British friend Milo and then they'll tag team us all in the ass with giant Pedobear robots

So this is my first Post and I wanted to start it off well. After going through the news for a little bit for things to write about (because I realize no one want to hear about my life) all I found was crap. So here's a somewhat interesting article.

This Texan man was serving jail time for 7 burglaries, an aggravated assault and an 2 escape charges. He managed to break out of jail... again... for the 3rd time. But the best part is he did it with a bed sheet rope. Yeah you know that crap you see in cartoons ware the guy scales down the side of the prison on bed sheets, he did EXACTLY that. I don't know how he escaped the first 2 times but I like to imagine that first he used a nail file and then the second time he dug his way out.

Now I'm not gonna pretend I know how to run a prison but if someone breaks out once you'd think they would keep a better eye on him. let alone twice and then they let him do it a third time. Maybe that's why Texas puts so many people on death row, its easier for them to kill people than to keep them locked up.
